Jobs at International Summer School Eastbourne

Do you like working with children? If you do, read on. This work is all about looking after children and working professionally to give them a memorable and enjoyable experience when they stay at our centre.

Residential work

All our students and nearly all of our staff live at the centre in single sex accommodation. All staff are involved in the pastoral care required in a residential setting. For example, staff ensure students are settled in their rooms at night and up in time for breakfast in the morning and deal with any problems that occur. The students safety is the most important thing. Therefore we only employ people who accept this and are prepared to put themselves out to ensure it happens. Staff are expected to be courteous, friendly and professional whatever the situation. We also expect our staff to be sensitive to and respond to the interests and needs of the students who come from many different countries and cultures. Working at International Summer School is challenging and tiring but also unforgettable and a lot of fun.

All staff applying to International Summer School at Moira House Eastbourne will have stringent checks made as to their suitability to work with children. These checks will include the following:

  • CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) checks will be made on staff employed on our courses.
