International Summer School at Bethany Centre

For Boys and Girls aged 11-17 years

Location: Bethany Centre is situated in beautiful Kent countryside in an area known as "the Garden of England". It is very close to the typically English villages of Goudhurst, with its quaint shops and cafes, and Marden - which has a train station with direct route to central London. The historic town of Royal Tunbridge Wells with its excellent shopping and cultural facilities is only 15 minutes away.

Facilities: Includes 3 football pitches, hockey pitch, cricket pitch, tennis courts (both cement and Astroturf), floodlit Astroturf 5-aside pitches, squash courts, outdoor heated swimming pool, indoor sports hall, table tennis centre, art studio, assembly/concert hall, computer suite, drama room.

English Programme: At Bethany we are able to offer 7 levels of English from complete beginner to proficiency. Students have 15 hours of English lessons per week in small classes of no more than 12 students per class.

Activities and Excursions: Two full day excursions, usually every Wednesday and Sunday. Students are also taken out on a Friday afternoon to Tunbridge Wells or another nearby town. All trips are included in the course fee. Afternoon activity programme with a choice of 5-8 different sports and non-sports choices and an evening entertainment programme are also provided and included in the fee.

Accommodation/Welfare: Boys and girls live in separate and comfortable boarding houses. All houses have security locks and staff also live in the boarding accommodation to ensure 24 hour supervision. The Catering Manager ensures a good choice of food at mealtimes - special dietary requirements are catered for.
